ECO PRINTING WORKSHOP - September 21st at Big Oak Farm in Morden, MB

Join us for an afternoon of eco printing on cloth in the dye gardens of Big Oak Farm. You'll learn essential skills to continue along your eco printing journey, receive your own instructional booklet, and take home an organic cotton bandana ‘dyed by you’. Participants will have the opportunity to engage creatively and discover the beauty of eco-friendly textile design, all in a lush rural setting!

WHEN: SEPTEMBER 21ST
WHAT TIME: 12PM-3PM
WHERE: BIG OAK FARM IN MORDEN, MB
HOW MUCH: $135 PER PERSON

In this workshop, we will cover:

  • What eco printing is

  • Fibers that can be naturally dyed and how to identify them

  • How to prepare fibers to take on permament color

  • Common plants used for eco printing

  • Ideas on upcycling and reusing materials

  • Ethical wild harvesting practices

  • Basics of a dye garden

  • Techniques for creating botanical prints on fabric

  • A showcase of previous work for inspiration

  • An instructional booklet with resources for further exploration at home

Attendees will receive an organic cotton bandana along with additional cloth for exploring various techniques and applications of eco printing

All necessary materials, instruction, flowers, and foliage will be provided to ensure a comprehensive and enriching experience

A light snack is included

To strike a balance between protecting my own interests while remaining empathetic to life’s varying and ever changing circumstances the following is my non-negotiable cancellation policy. By purchasing a spot in the workshop, you are agreeing to the terms outlined below:

Tickets can be fully refunded up to 2 weeks before the workshop date (up to Sept 7th)

Any person who cancels after Sept. 7th forfeits their ticket price (unless in the case of an emergency or sudden illness)

It is your responsibility to mark the date in your calendar and arrive on time the day of the workshop

Tickets are exchangeable so if you can’t attend but have a friend who can, why not pass your spot off to them!
